What is TryXo?
TryXo is an online store for digital downloads with strictly independent music. We focus on providing talented independent artists with a high quality marketplace for their products.

Why pay for music?
First and foremost paying for music at TryXo supports the artists that are selling their music here as the artists receive 75% of each sale. It is our philosophy that it costs money, takes time and inspiration as well as talent to make music. So, why not reward the artists for this and help them earn a living with their art?

What is the difference between TryXo and other stores ?
TryXo is set up for independent artists and bands all over the world. We have a simple and fast registration procedure and also easy ways for them to upload their music. In addition we have a quality control system in place, which guarantees the fans of independent music a high quality of independent music. We target the store to great independent artists and bands in the world and at the same time we guarantee the fans that the music they will listen to on this site is of high quality. As tastes in music vary, we will always strive to deliver music diversity  on this site, so you can find what you - the fan - are looking for.

Store Functionalities

What are the TryXo Charts and how do they work?
Charts are a method of ranking the music judging by the popularity during a given period of time. 

The TryXo Charts are based on the sales of by song. The song that was sold the most at each given time, will be the song placed at the top position. If two songs have sold the same mount of times, the song that achieved this number of sales before the other, will have the higher positioning in the Charts.

Who is displayed in the New Releases-section?
New and existing artists can constantly add new songs in their TryXo account. Once we at TryXo have reviewed and have then released  the song for sale, it will show in the New Releases-section of the site.

How can I preview songs?
To preview songs, click on the song to view the song details. In the details, you will find a description of the artist and below that a media player that is incorporated in the site. You do not need additional software to play the song! To start playing the song, click on the button for play and to stop, just click on the pause button. To resume playing, just click on the play button again.

How long does the song play for when I am previewing it?
The preview lasts 1 minute of each song.

Can I rate/review songs?
Yes, you can rate and write reviews to song, if you wish to do so. Just sign up and once you are logged in, you can go to the song you would like to review. Once you see the song details (with the player included), there will be a link on the right saying: Review this song now! Just click on that link and select your Evaluation rating and enter your opinion. Click on "Continue" to save the review.

What are my account functionalities?
In your account you can:
- maintain your address information
- change your password
- view your order history
- download songs you purchased. 

How can I pay for songs?
We currently accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

How often can I download a song that I have purchased?
The song can be downloaded up to 30 times from your account for over 5 years. It will be displayed how many times you can still download the song and until when. Please ensure to create backups of the files you purchased as the availability in your account is a service from TryXo and not a guarantee.

What are the song requirements?
All songs are MP3s and have a minimum encoding of 128kbits. You can import all songs into your MP3 players or IPods.

How does TryXo guarantee a high level of quality?
One person checks the song to verify that the MP3 has at least 128kbit, then 3 people will lisen to the song and rate it based on Quality, Ability to sell and Uniqueness and assign 1 point per approved criteria. The song needs to score a minimum of 7 points out of the 9 possible to be Pre-Approved and later Released. The main focus is to have the best independent artists around the world on TryXo and have a top notch roster of artists in the webstore that will drive you to return to check out what is the latest on TryXo!

Who decides in which categories a song is displayed?
When the artist uploads the song, he is asked to select up to 3 categories in which his song is displayed. We are monitoring this procedure to see whether this will deem effective.

Can I load the songs that I purchased from TryXo onto my IPod?
Yes, you can! Just download the song to your computer and then import the file into your ITunes.

I am an artist and I forgot my password. How can I get it back?
Please, click here to reset your password. You will need to enter the e-mail address that you used to register. We will then send you a newly created password  to that e-mail address. Once logged back into your account you can change the password again.
